Take a look at any exterior shot of the front of the house. Notice the second-story window that is directly above the front doors. It appears to be set back from the front wall the same distance as the front doors. Now look for an interior shot of the front doors where you can see the ceiling above it. (Examples: Contacting the other side for the first time; rescuing Carol Anne from the other side.) The living room has a vaulted ceiling as you would expect, and the front door is set back from the front wall as it should be from looking at the outside of the house. But the wall that the front doors are on extends up above the doors about six feet where it meets the vaulted ceiling. What happened to the window?
