When the old guy is thrown out the window, his hat falls off, and he lets go of his cane. Later, when Pacha comes, his hat is on his head. I'm not sure about the cane. I think Pacha might have picked it up for him.
Just a thought, but is it possible that the hat, Floating more slowly than the old man's body and in a side to side motion, like a piece of paper, might have just landed back on his head?
