During the part of the movie where the lead singer and his girlfriend are talking about the band, you see the old drummer teaching the bass player how to straddle jump over a parking meter. When the drummer falls, he falls on his left side, but later in the movie, you see his right arm is broken.
It appears that when the drummer falls, he lands on his left side, but you don't actually see how he lands. It is possible that he put his right arm down to "cushion" his fall. When he is on the ground he is holding his right arm. Later in the movie his right arm is the one in the cast...I don't see how this is a slip-up.
Actually, when the old drummer falls off the post he is jumping over, he falls to his right. So he probably would have damaged his right arm, therefore the correct arm is in a sling. xx
