Pearl Harbor - Turbo Props in 1941
During the flight sequence at Long Island, the mountain shown in the background is Laguna peak outside of point Mugu. If you look at the top of the mountain, you'll see a bunch of satelite antennas. Then, if you look in the background on the flight line, you'll see a squadron of E2 hawkeyes, an airborne early warning airplane that didn't fly until well after World War 2. With all the money and computer power they put into this movie, you'd figure they'd delete those. Then again, someone didn't do a very good job at trying to keep it authentic, did they?

I think that you are being a little over analytical about a stupid thing that doesn't even really make a difference to the movie. I don't think that you should be one to talk seeing that you have never produced a movie let alone one that was a box office hit.

The person who posted the slip-up did a good job. As you can see from the many other Pearl Harbor slip-ups, historical accuracy is not important to a Jerry Bruckheimer film.
