Patriot, The - Which One Is on Top?
This scene is a little after the attack the Ben Martin made on the Red-Coats to save his son. When the bad guy Colonel walks into the tent to question the injured soldier, he has a strap around him. The strap is on top of his collar when he walks in. However, when the camera cuts to the soldier, and then back to him again, the strap is under his collar. This happens maybe 3-5 times throughout this scene.

I just finished watching that scene, and the strap definitely moves above and below the tab of the collar on the actors coat quite a few times. It was probably caused by the wardrobe department originally placing the belt under the tab of the coat collar when they dressed the actor. Then sometime during the shooting of the scene that day, the actor took off his coat in between takes (maybe to eat or take a quick break). And when he put the coat and strap back on, he placed the strap over the tab of the collar. And when shooting resumed, no one noticed the difference. Good catch!
