Mummy, The - It Doesn't Hurt Here It Hurts Here!
Fast foward to the part where they are all in the tomb and Evi has been taken away by the mummy. Jonathon find one of those blue-gold beatles and it cracks open and becomes one of those man eating beatles and it goes into Jonathon's arm. Mr O'Connel then cuts it out of his shoulder but in the next shot we see that his bandage is on his hand and it only goes up to his elbow!!
WHOOPS!!

The beetle entered at his hand. That's why it's bandaged. You can't see the shoulder wound because he has a long-sleeved shirt on. It may be bandaged or may not...you can't tell.

The only reason that sence is in the movie is that Jonathan cut his hand and had to keep it bandaged. At the the very end of the movie notice how he seems to have a bit of a problem holding on the the golden book.

OK forget the whole Jonathan name thing! He has a bandage on his sholder because you can slightly see a black strap but what i don't get is Rick ripped open Jonathans shirt to get the scarab out why then later does he have an unripped shirt on?????

If you look closely, you see a black bandage on Jonathan's shoulder, the same type of black fabric that is on his hand. Good eyes go far!

As soon as someone's name is actually Jonathon then don't you think that there would automatically become two ways to spell it? Also, how do you know you're not the exception and everyone else does spell it Jonathon? And finally (not to pester someone as smart as you with so many questions, but.......), why does it matter??

The 'scarab' did go in through his hand like somebody above mentioned and I'm not really sure if they had a bandage on his shoulder; but I listened to Brendan F. feature commentary (on my ultimate edition dvd) and he mentioned that John H. had hurt his arm. I'm not exactly sure what he had done, like if he had twisted his wrist or something. Hopefully now the bandage going up little farther up his arm makes a little more sense.

His shoulder IS bandaged. If you watch the scene in the treasure chamber right after all that happens, you will notice BLACK CLOTH (the same as around his hand)around his shoulder beneath his shirt. Also, the shirt is BLOODSTAINED.

The bandage goes up to his elbow just to keep his arm from moving around and getting even more hurt and the knife wound was covered by his long sleeved shirt!

When Jonathon has the golden book of Amun-Ra, look very closely at his neck. You should see a black cloth right below it going towards his shoulder. Trust me I just finished watching the movie.

actually guys and gals, jonathan has his hand bandaged because the lovely john Hannah broke his wrist while filming which is explained at one point
