In the scene where Martin Lawrence is driving with his partner, and is going really fast, he is yelling out on his radio to people who are driving too slow (slow compared to him). He is suppose to be on the loud speaker right? Well, the only problem is there is no speaker on the outside of the car, therefore, you can hear his echo, but it's just clever sound editing!
You would really be surprised at how small the speakers are that are put into police cars and other rescue vehicles. Some of them are not even outside the car, they are under the hood. There doesn't have to be a visible speaker.
Police cars are getting stealthier. Here in Fond du Lac, we have police cars that look just like normal cars.
Standard Dodge Intrepid... the lights are hidden near the radiator, the speaker under the hood, ect...
The only way you can really tell it's a police car is by the uniform the driver is wearing, or if you notice the shiny laptop next to them.
