When Wallace kills that guy in his bed, when he is taking revenge, he swings a massive ball on the end of a chain into the guys face, making a bit of a mess. You can clearly see that the chain is wrapped around his hand, so it would be difficult to let go quickly. There is no sound of the ball dropping. It would have made a hell noise if it could do that to the man's face, but when he turns towards the door to exit it is not in his hand.
