Watch right before Cindy and Kevin start the whole Titantic spoof, Cindy is covered in blood and so is the floor....then it's gone....and then it reappears. This happens a few times. Weird!
OK... Kevin = Buddy, at the beginning of the movie, Cindy tells him they can just be friends. From then on, she calls him Buddy. His real name IS Kevin.
Actually, you need to take a look at the deleted scenes on the DVD. The reason there was blood was because there was a deleted scene where they opened pouches of blood and spilled them onto the floor like in Hollow Man, to see the ghost's footsteps. That's why there was blood on them. I wondered that, too. I just don't understand why they taped the messy scene before the clean one.
