One scene in the movie shows one crew member giving CPR to another crew member. The problem is that it's a movie based on actual events, but the movie takes place in WWII and CPR wasn't invented until the late 50's.
Well, although I agree with you, CPR wasn't "invented" at the time, people did realize that the pressure on the chest of doing that could revive a person, although it didn't officially become CPR until later.
