Near the end, Tim's on the computer and watches as three raptors jump up on the balcony (p. 349) Now skip ahead to when Grant's in the hatchery with the THREE raptors. On page 356 after Grant thinks 'That's one' In the next paragraph, it says 'One cocked its head, then another, and another' Add 'em up, that's three, plus the dying one which makes four raptors.
Wasn't it mentioned that the raptors were already breeding in the park? If so, it stands to reason that there are more than three raptors in the park, and running rampant, especially with the fences down.
Oh, you're so missing the point. Not the fact that there's more than six raptors in the park, the fact that there's an extra one in the hatchery. Only three enter after Grant, but counting the three that look and the one that's dying makes four. That's the point I was trying to make.
