On May 10,2001 when Aaron was on Rosie O'Donald's show, he said: "I'm workin' on my 2nd album" But, it's really his 3rd! His 2nd was Aaron's Party (Come Get It). His 1st was self-titled!
It technically is his 3rd album, but his self-titled debut never really sold in hthe US, so he probably figured that he'd just say it was his 2nd. I don't think he's that stupid, that he wouldn't know how many albums he's recorded.

Well, it is his 4th album, one in 1998, one in 1999, one in 2000, and now one in 2001. Just wanted to point that out

It was definatly not a mistake. It could have been either:
1. The first album never made it in USA and since the interview was in USA he was referring to the number of albums that his US fans know of.
2. The interview could have been old, and it was his second album.
Any singer will know how many albums they made.
