In the episode where the sleeche's dad comes in to the school for Doug's report (he gives them doughnuts.) At The end of it, you see Roger is eating a doughnut. Hi bites the doughnut, yet the subsequent times it remains whole.
maybe they had to replay the scene over to save animation time. they do that a lot sometimes. it takes about a year to make just one episode.
