Center Stage - Ventriloquist Ballerina?

While Cooper and his ex-girlfriend are taking their bows after their ballet (NOT their "Romeo and Juliet one, the one where Cooper is dressed like a Jester) and the ex-girlfriend starts teasing him about Jodie, who is watching in the wings, you see her mumble "you are in big trouble", and then as they bow, you hear Cooper respond with "She's in my ballet..." But his mouth doesn't even open!! Cooper Neilson or Sheri Lewis??

Taylor writes:: Actually, we talk like that onstage all the time. If you watch really closely, you'll notice that their lips move, ever-so-slightly, and the B's and M's aren't pronounced well. They have to keep their smiles plastered on their faces, so that's why they do that. My partner always asks me what the next step is when we dance...It's funny.; 15 of 6576 found this helpful. Cait writes:: This is on purpose. Kathleen and Cooper are on stage acting, I don't think they want an entire opera house knowing they are talking on stage! I dance and your not supposed to talk while performing, and most CERTAINLY not in a ballet company.
