Star Wars Episode 4: A New Hope - I Thought You Switched Off
When Luke's at Kenobi's place, C3P0 says he'll shut himself down for a while, and his eyes go blank. Yet when Luke starts flashing the lightsaber around, C3P0's head moves to watch, even though he's supposidly is switched off.

To put what kanada was trying to say in *proper* english:
"If he turned himself off, he can also turn on at will, just like any robot can. For example, when the Jawas capture him, he's off, and then he activates, just like how humans awaken from sleep. When he activates, he usually says, 'I am C-3PO, human-cyborg relations.'"
(The lack of capitalization of the word "english" is a joke.)
