When the Rocket is launching, the tower arms come out one at a time. However, when the Saturn V Rocket really lifted off, the arms would all come out at once.
It was to be dramatic, though I do agree with you, and they should have kept it realistic.

I just finished watching Apollo 13 in science. If you watch very closely, you will see that BEFORE the rocket takes off (considering you know something about rockets and space travel) that the arms come off the rocket one by one.
