Tommy Boy - Ohio Geography

If you don't live in Ohio, this may not seem like a big deal, but as a Buckeye I thought I'd throw this in. When Tommy comes home and is met at the airport by Richard, the caption says 'Sandusky'. Sandusky is a ratty, smelly little town but more importantly it does not have an airport.

Secondly, towards the end Michele goes to this non-existent airport and buys a ticket to Cuyahoga Falls. Cuyahoga Falls, as you may have guessed, doesn't have an airport either. What's more, the two towns are about an hour and a half car ride from each other, so why buy a plane ticket to get there anyway?

By flying from Sandusky to Columbus to Cuyahoga Falls, you probably have made about a four hour trip out of what would be normally about two. Also, in the end when Tommy mentions that the whole town is at stake, there is no mention of Cedar Point at all. Now it may be just me, but I think a multi-million dollar amusement park would sustain a city more than an auto parts factory.; 15 of 6576 found this helpful. Did you?
