Smoke evaporated after she died, why would there be more smoke after she was dead?

Even stranger is this: when Austin goes back in time 10 minutes to save Felicity, you see her say, "Don't worry about me, Austin! You've got to save the world!(cough, cough)" Then the future Austin pops in and they go through the whole "We are sexy b**ches" monologue. By the time Dr. Evil says, "All right, this is ri-god-d*mn-diculous - kill them both!" Felicity should have died already.
