In the part of the movie where Scarlet is asking Ashley for the $300 to save Tara, he picks up a handful of dirt and hands it to her. He also explains to her about how much she loves Tara. If you look closely, the majority of the ground is dark brown or black. But when Ashley picks up the dirt to put it in her hand, the patch he gets it from is a fresh plowed ground with reddish dirt. You can actually see the circular area were they put the fresh dirt just for this scene!
