When the real TV show shows the guys talking in the hardware store, Tim says,"The speech was so boring I had to check my pulse to see if I was still alive." But when Jill watches it, Tim says,"The speech was so dull I had to check my pulse to see if I was still alive."

The joke was: Tim said that her speech was "soooo boring" and when Jill sees the tape, he says it was "sobering"
I am almost sure, as i found this quite funny.
