This is SO infinitesimal, but it still bothers me every time i watch. In the beginning we hear the voice of adult Ralphie voice over how he remembers staring in the store window, and says something like, "That's me in that stupid stocking cap..." but Ralphie isn't wearing that stocking cap, Schwartz is.
I so don't know what you are talking about. I am watcthing it now and they all have hats on, running across the street and at the window. Ralf never takes off his hat.

FYI, a stocking cap is one of those knit caps that has a sort of long "tail" hanging down the back. In other words, the kind of cap that Schwartz is wearing and Ralphie is not.

OK just so you know if you look closely Ralphie and Schwartz both have stocking caps on Ralphie's has a shorter tail then Schwartz's though.
