Andy Griffith Show, The - Did Clara Change Her Name?
In the episode where Aunt Bee goes out of town and Andy and Opie stay home alone-they clean the house and then think that Aunt Bee needs to take care of them so they mess it up again. As they are leaving to go to get Aunt Bee off of the bus, Clara is coming to the door and they pass her on the porch-only Andy says "Hello Bertha". Then Clara goes in and cleans the house for them
The whole Clara vs. Bertha situation is simple...
The lady who played "Clara" is ...recycled , if you will. She played a different woman. The "Bertha" character is in earlier episodes if I remember correctly. Before "Clara" was shown regularly.
Watch carefully, lots of characters are "recycled"
