In regards to the Ford Contour (car) issue, the guy who came up with that slip up should be shot. There is no slip up. The original Ford Contour is a 95-97 model whereas the alternate contour is the same color, but a 98-00 model. The significance of the switch is that it occurs as Tim Robbins is fighting Jeff Bridges in the abandoned building. Watching the movie for the first time, I noticed that right off the bat, and immediately assumed the bomb was in the contour. The crew for this film paid a lot of attention to detail. Vote 10 if you think the guy that came up with the original car slip-up should go home and watch the movie again!

Fine, except the switch happens half way through the car chase then switches back and forth between cars.
