Throughout this entire movie, Joyce Hyser, who plays the girl pretending to be a boy, has her chest clearly strapped tight to her body in order to make her appearance look flat up top. When she first goes to the prom and stands with her 'tuxedo' jacket open, you can clearly see that she once again has some kind of strapping on her top to make her look flat. She never leaves the scene to use the ladies (mens) room yet when she takes her male friend to a secluded spot to show him she's a girl by opening her shirt to expose her top, the strapping (which must have been quite a chore to put on and take off) has mysteriously disappeared, leaving her fully exposed. She is not a small girl so you notice the strapping is missing before she even opens her shirt. Shoddy film making in my view.
