Mummy Returns, The - What Was He Saying
In the part at the start. When they are at their house and the people come in for the big fight. This is quite hard to see but there is one part where Alex calls out from behind his mom and says something like "Mom watch out!"
But if you look closely you will see that his lips aren't moving.

That's nothing, if you listen when Ardeth Bay comes in, the actress playing Evie calls him by his real name. She says "Oded, what are you doing here?"

OK where to start. Yes she says 'Ardeth' and his full name is Ardeth Day not Ardeth Bay. I am deaf and watch all my DVD's with English subtitles.

The reason that his (Alex) lips do not move is because the phrase was added during looping. Looping is adding voices, sound effects, or any other sounds that are needed. This is especially important when set noise or background sounds interfere with dialogue.

I hate to burst your bubble but it is Ardeth Bay not Ardeth Day. As a huge Oded Fehr fan I have come across many official and non-official Oded Fehr sites and this is the first time I've seen his character called Ardeth Day. Granted that you saw it as Adreth Day in closed caption, but could the official Universal Studios The Mummy site be wrong in calling him Ardeth Bay? I think not. It's up to you decide though.

Sorry, but when you watch movies in subtitles they sometimes appear wrong. I have found many mistakes in watching television with and without closed captioning.
