If I know the scene you're talking about it's when Obiwan's light saber is pointed straight at the camera and it almost looks like its not on. It's not like a flashlight where it emits a lot of light so when you look at the tip of it, the light saber looks like it's just a 'spark'. Not a slip up, just point of view perspective...
