In disc 1 when Aeris is showing Cloud around the Sector 7 slums, right before they go into the guy's house that looks like a sewer pipe, Aeris says "This guy are sick." It should have been "This guy is sick."
There are 9 sequels to the Final Fantasy series because the creator, Hinorobu Sakaguchi was about to be fired if his last attempt at creating a game failed. So he decided to name the game "Final Fantasy" thinking that it would be the FINAL game that he ever created. Well, as it turns out, the public liked it so much that he has continued with the series... (and I am very thankful for that.... )
I noticed that one too, but considering Square's track record on translation (that being a VERY GOOD record) I think we can all let it go. Final Fantasy has always had top-notch translation (unlike some I could mention, *AHEM* LoD) and English is a goofy language, and hard to translate into anyhow. Personally, I don't think "this guy are sick" detracted from the overall effect of the game. We all got the point of the sentence, right?
FF7 is full of dodgy translations.
I cant remember exactly but in the Battle Arena when you chose to fight again or leave Off or Of is spelt the other way around
Ie its Off instead of Of
Or its Of instead of Off
I own the Greatest Hits edition, and this doesn't exist. Yes, the Greatest Hits edition of many games fixes some bugs and improves graphics. That's why GameShark has many games listed as a 1.0 version and a 1.1 version.
