OK, near the end of the movie, Carmen gets pinned down by a bug with Xander. The bug's nasty spike clearly goes through her shoulder and pins her to the ground. However, when she wanders out, the blood is still on the shoulder of her uniform, but she is smiling and waving with the same arm - that only minutes later was skewered!
