At the very beginning of the song is the phrase, "At Delta Chi, you can't go wrong!" The name of the fraternity in the movie is Delta TAU Chi. The words to the song are on the inside of the CD cover to verify the mistake. As a side note, there is a real Delta Chi fraternity which considered a lawsuit, that is until membership sky-rocketed right after the movie's release.
When fraternities or sororities make up songs, they sometimes don't use the entire name of their organization, it happens all the time. It doesn't take a genius to figure this out!
Well, another reason that DX didn't sue was that it was a Delta Chi that wrote the movie.... Being a DX myself, I know this. It's part of our heritage.
I agree that this is definitely not a slipup, but in fact an on purpose shortening of the fraternities name (like 90% of frats/sororities do when referring to themselves for convenience).
