Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me. - 1 Day Trip?
In the sceen where Austin and his counter part (Flicity?) are in the apollo 11 craft, the make it to the moon in one day, it took the real craft some three days to make it.
They actually made it in less than a day. About an hour.

It was a joke. The movie was like a farce, so it was intended to be funny. Think about it.

You don't understand the meaning of this slip up. What was meant was that no real time passes in THE MOVIE, you can have three days pass in a time lapse, and Dr. Evil should have been able to blow up DC with no hitches.

Come on! Do you really think it would be possible to get a giant "laser" up on the moon in the first place and blow up the earth?? It's a comedy that is meant to be unrealistic!

Yes in parts, just think of the MIR, skylab and the the ISS. Besides Austin Powers is a movie, and this is a movie site about mistakes and slip up is a mistake... even if it weren't Austin would have been crushed by the G-forces. I don't care if you don't agree with me, but please stop hiding behind the fact that this more is a comedy, it is meant to be funny- not filled with mistakes.

I agree with Smitty, people say things like "it's just a movie" but it still is a slipup! they could have made a time lapse...and isn't that what this site is for?

Oh yeah and Blackout, two points
1. The entire trip took three days to get to the moon, DUH!
2. I watch many movies
So I don't think that Dr. Evil was just standing around for three days NOT firing the laser waiting for Austin, which by the way was the whole point of the slip-up. Thank you for you comment Sarah
THE WHOLE POINT HERE IS NOT THAT THE TRIP IS NOT IN ITS ENTIRE LENGTH, BUT THAT DR. EVIL DOESN'T FIRE THE LASER IN THE THREE DAYS THAT AUSTIN IS NOT THERE TO INTERFERE WITH HIS EVIL PLANS. Once again I'm sorry for the caps, but I wanted to make sure that everyone would see my point, for the third time.

You realize, Smitty, that you're arguing Scott's part? When Scott suggested that Dr. Evil simply blow up Austin "when he's sitting on the crapper or something," Dr. Evil just looked confused and kind of shrugged him off. This issue was raised IN the movie, that Dr. Evil always hesitated to kill Austin, the world, etc. I have to agree that sure, if the trip took a lot longer than as was expressed in the movie, then that's a mistake. But if Dr. Evil, DID have those extra days to blow up the world, you know he wouldn't have.

Austin is a super spy. He has super-cool gadgets not available to others. E.G. A Time Machine. He went really, really fast. ^^

He makes it in less than a day. In like 5 hours to be exact. They say something like 5 hours untill they fire the laser before Austin even leaves earth.
