Beneath the Planet of the Apes - Tags? We Don't Need No Stinkin' Tags...
Nova is wearing Taylor's ID tags, which is how Brent knows she was with Taylor. But in the first movie, Taylor never had any tags: he was stripped by his captors and we see in many subsequent shots when Charlton Heston is barechested that he never was wearing any tags later. So where'd she get the tags?

Therefore, I bet Taylor might have went back to the site he was captured and got the tags/other belongings? We never do see their WHOLE journey through the Forbidden Zone, just Taylor disappearing.
We see Taylor ride off from the Statue of Liberty and then get sucked into the illusion shortly thereafter. Not only is there nothing on-screen to indicate he went back to the ship (which is underwater in the first movie, and recovered by the apes if you accept Cornelius and Zira getting into the ship at the beginning of the third movie), but he has no other equipment from the ship. So he went back just to get his tags??
