Didi says Tommy is too old to drink from a bottle and has to stick to a Mr. Tippy cup. But Phillipe, Lillian, and Chuckie are older, and they drink from bottles! So WHY THE HECK WOULD DIDI TELL TOMMY NOT TO DRINK?
The reason why Didi is weaning Tommy when Chuckie is older is because Didi is an over-protective mother. Are you sure that Phil and Lil are older than Tommy?
Phil and Lil ARE older. I can tell because:
- both of then wear shoes
- Phil wears pants (I think) and Lil wears a dress Both have a clump of hair on their heads. Tommy has just 5 or 6 hairs, a shirt, and a diaper.
At the beginning of the episode, Didi takes Tommy to the dentist. He convinces her that if Tommy keeps drinking bottles he will have bad teeth. He uses this chart..."This boy didn't have a bottle (he's holding a trophy and smiling with perfect teeth), while this boy did...(his teeth are rotting out of his head)" So, convinced, Didi takes away all Tommy's bottles until his refusals (and maybe the advice of Betty and Chaz) convince her to give Tommy his bottle back. Hope that helps...
Which reminds me of something very odd. Dil is only a few months old, correct? While he is unable to speak, he must be very slow or Tommy must be EXTREMELY smart because in the episode where Tommy and Chuckie are fighting the junk food kid, with what's her name, Chuckie told the girl that he's known Tommy since he was 8 days old and he didn't like seeing other people getting pushed around. Chuckie HAD to have known how Tommy felt by Tommy telling him, but if he's only 8 days old, and was able to speak, how come Dil cannot do the same?
Phil, Lil, and Chuckie are all older than Tommy. However, not only is Didi an over-protective mother, the doctor who told her that Tommy should not drink out of bottles anymore is a nut. I mean, he doesn't even wear latex gloves. He just sticks his hands into Tommy's mouth.
