Throughout the movie, the lower half of Christine's grille is chrome. However, In one of the shots in the final show-down between Dennis and Christine in Darnell's garage, Christine's lower grille is red.
When the film was originally made, roughly 25 real and "shell" cars were used to achieve the effect of the car regenerating itself. The showdown car was a shell car.
