My class just watched a video on the evolution of our nations flag. The Union Jack in Pocahontas WAS around during the time of the Settlers to America. It is totally correct. When King James took the throne he made that flag. The only thing missing is the extra red stripes that criss cross due that Scotland (Or Ireland, one of them, i forgot) hadn't joined with England yet, so you might be thinking of that because it looks different from Englands' flag today. So the flag IS accurate.
