In the part in the movie where buzz and Woody get airborne, they let go of RC and he flies into the moving van. When he goes in, Slinky Dog goes with his front end to the left and his rear end to the right in the moving van. On the video in slow maotion it pulls him apart. He would not be repairable if that happened.
You're wrong on this one. I watched the part in slow motion on DVD and found out that the rear-end was on the same side as Slinky's front-end. The "broken wire" you saw was actually the middle part of the wire that another toy was holding. When everyone was taking cover, the toy that was holding that part let go quickly, so the wire was flung to the side that Slinky's front-end and back-end were on.
