Throughout the series, Hochstetter is referred to being in the Gestapo, or a Gestapo agent. In fact, he wears the uniform and insignia of the SS- look for the lapel badges with the lightning-bolt SS insignia. Furthermore, the Gestapo wore gray uniforms, the SS wore black. They got his uniform right but kept saying Gestapo, etc.
