Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country - Say What?
Notice when the Klingons are talking around the starship officers, they start to talk in Klingon. The "universal translator" would translate it. So why do everyone's lips move like they're talking in english?! Their lips should move as if they're talking their language!!!
Perhaps Klingon is similar to movie Japanese? Where the words never match the lips?
The Klingons enjoy Shakespeare ... I wonder what a Klingon version of Godzilla would be like?
This is a fairly common practice in movies. Actors speak in the characters' language at first, and then suddenly change to English. (The beginning of The Hunt for Red October, for example.) It shows the audience that another language is being spoken, while adding dramatic effect.
