Fifth Element, The - The Amazing Self-Washing Stones
After Corbon Dallas (Bruce Willis) runs over to the blue alien diva who got shot, he takes the stones out of her and they're covered and probably stained in blue blood. When they go to the place where they align all the stones they're magically washed and are their normal color. And I didn't see them stop by any laundry mat along the way, they went straight to Earth in that little alien ship.

It was a two hour trip and who knows what facilities Zorg's ship has. Even a commercial airliner of today has lavatories. There was a seperate cabin LeeLoo lay down in. Running water in Zorg's ship is quite likely.

If you notice, Korben handed the jacket to the priest, who was sitting in the co-pilot seat. He probably started wiping them off with Korben's jacket if nothing else.

If he washed the stones off with water, wouldn't the water element stone have opened?

Twztd, the water stone didn't open (assuming it was washed in water) because it wasn't set in it's place at the Temple. ---KMeTG

I agree with Soukey. When they leave Flosten, Korben's shirt is all torn up and Ruby's face is full of sweat and blood. Then all over sudden Ruby's face has no sweat on it and the cut on the forehead is cleaned up, Korben is also wearing new clothes. Obviously they had a lot of time to clean themselves and the stones on the ship.
