Home Alone 2 - His Dad's Bag Is Really Kevin's?

When Kevin asks his dad for his dad's bag in the airport, his dad gives it to him. Then, later when Kevin is in front of Duncan's Toy Chest, looking at the map with the little magnifying glass, the bad guys sneak up behind him and a clear shot of the bag shows that it clearly says KEVIN MCALLISTER on it. We know this isn't Kevin's bag because he takes the money from it in the toy store and Kevin didn't have any money with him. If it were his dad's bag it would have said PETER MCALLISTER on it.

Now in reference to the comment it was his dad's bag, Kevin was asking his father when they were running through the air port for batteries, Peter then says, "yeah, it's in my bag there." now when he said "my bag" he didn't mean it was his bag literally, he just meant, it was "his bag" at the time because he was holding it at the moment. Later on in the movie, when Ciedrick is snooping, he looks at Kevin's bag and the luggage tag does say, "Peter McAllister" on it. I don't think that's a slip-up, i just think that since Kevin is still technically a minor, his parents filled out the tag addressed to the guardian, or maybe it was just the head of the house hold.; 15 of 6577 found this helpful.
