When Carl (the cop) is in the car and the plant grabs his car he has his seat belt on. When he has to jump out he does it without having to undo his seat belt!
I hate to burst your bubble, but that's not a slip up. If I was being attacked like that, I would just wiggle my way out. Who cares about the seat belt. You make it sound like that's impossible to do, which would be understandable if he were a larger man.
Hey denden, I just watched Jumanji today and i noticed that as well. when Carl is in the car, he has his seatbelt on with the shoulder strap on right and everything, but then it shows him running away from the car maybe a second later. True, he could have wiggled out of his seatbelt but that takes time that he didn't have. This is a slip-up.
No, this person is right, that is a slip up. In the first shot, you can clearly see his seat belt on...shoulder and lap straps. A second later he is out of the car. Unless he was Gumbie, there is no way he could have "wiggled" his was out that quick.
I agree with these people, if you were able to "wiggle" out of your seat belt you'd fly out in a car accident. Even lap belts are made so you don't "wiggle" out of them. If you could I think car companies would have so many law suits on their hands they wouldn't know what to do with.
Actually Carl was in the process of taking OFF his seatbelt when the vines came and took the car. Since his belt wasn't completely buckled, he was able to jump out and his seat belt slipped off.
Yes, you do see the shoulder strap across him, but there is a point when the camera goes to Nora and Carl could have taken the belt off then, just before he jumps out...
