One scene of the movie shows the club clipping newspaper articles out. If you pause the movie (or read fast), notice the articles themselves are just nonsense, having nothing to do with the headlines. In fact, the articles themselves are repeated in part or in whole under the different headlines.
I'm sure they use this technique in a lot of movies. What's the point of writing all these articles, just for a split second shot? I guess they were not counting on people actually bothering to pause the movie and read the thing...
I do graphics for short films on occasion, and we do one of three things when producing blocks of text for non-hero props:
1) Lorem Ipsum filler text, gotta love it
2) Write amusing/ramling diatribes in the hope folks like you will freezeframe and get a laugh
3) Rant at length about the budget/director/writer/lack of decent coffee in the production office
We generally produce about 10 pages and repeat them over and over where necessary - I'm guessing these guys are little different.
