After Forrest has run across America and addresses his followers to tell them that he's tired, you can see along the winding road a shiny object - this is a car and they have stopped all the traffic for the shot.
How did he get home? Well think about it. He was running for 3 years straight right? OK, so then instead of running he walked to like a bus stop or he bought a plain ticket, i'm not sure where he got all that money but i'm figuring he just had a large bank account that he kept drawing out of. All i'm saying is that if he had enough energy to RUN for 3 years then i'm sure he could handle walking to a ride home.
He never said anything about going home that very instant. By that comment he may have meant that he was just tired in general and wanted to stop running in his current direction and/or on his current path. He never gave any indication that he he didn't plan on running (or walking)all the way home.
HELLO?! People, please think about what he has been doing for three years! If he could run across the United States several times...he surely could run home! He doesn't need a plane ticket, or a bus ticket, or anything!
Its might be just me, but I don't think that anyone had a comment refering specifically to THIS slip up. But I'll submit in some way, I never noticed that. Maybe it was just supposed to be cars way back there and they saw all the people running and was waiting for them to get out of the way. I mean if this was indeed a slip up, why wouldn't they just (instead) block a really really big part of the road instead of just that little bit, so you can actually see the traffic. I don't know, maybe they couldn't...
