M*A*S*H - Radar O'Rearly
Early in the episode, both Radar & Colonel Blake are in the shower tent when they hear shooting outside. Wearing nothing but a towel, Radar volunteers to go outside & radio H.Q. for help. Once outside he runs around the compound, getting shot at by the sniper. He then runs back into the shower tent. Just as he flings the door open & slips inside his towel falls off revealing his bare butt.

Unless it magically leaps back over his butt in an ensuing scene, it might not be a slipup. If I'd just been shot, I think the least of my worries would be whether my towel was covering my rear.

This is fake. The towel was deliberately dropped, because notice that immediately after it happened, he raced into the stall, and got a towel around himself just before he left. It was a joke, meant to be funny. Sorry.

The bit in The Sniper, where Radar loses his towel, is not a slip-up. Nothing Gary Burghoff did on screen was by mistake. This info was given by Larry Gelbart.

True - but NOT a slipup! Radar's losing his towel here is consistent with all scenes, and he is still not wearing it when he ducks back inside the showers - he has to grab another one.
