Knight Rider - Got No Bonnet Catch
In almost every one of the earlier Knight Riders, watch KITT's front end during the high speed chases (and various other scenes). Someone forgot to shut the bonnet (hood) properly! There's a huge gap underneath the scanner & headlight covers.

The hood is shut. It's just a gap from modifying the nose to install the 'scanner'

NO, because it disappears after a few episodes and isn't always there anyway....I think it's where they use the fibreglass stunt cars....they are quite obviously different from the others

Isn't that space supposed to be when KITT is in pursuit mode? The space only seems to appear when KITT is travelling at a high speed. In pursuit mode a lot of changes happen outside KITTs body and i think that is supposed to be one of them

Oh come on now if someone forgot to shut the hood do you really think it would take them more than one or two shots to figure that out instead of a whole season? The gap is there because of the work needed to install his scanner....

Obviously everybody knows that they have multiple KITT's that they use for different scenes. I agree that throughout the run of the show, when they are in (regular) Pursuit mode, the car they use looks as if the hood isn't latched entirely. I'm sure it has something to do with the modified bumper on that particular car.
