I believe it was during a speech before the DNC, when Jimmy Carter wanted to say "Hubert Humphrey", but instead he said "...one of our nation's greatest leaders of all time was Hubert Horatio Hornblower!"
That sounded insane when I read it, so I looked it up. True, but an important thing you should add is that Humphrey's middle name is actually Horatio. I'd probably say "One of our nation's greatest heroes was Hubert Horatio Sanz."
