Tomorrow Never Dies - Chain Gang
In the end scene, when Wei Lin is chained up and then released into the water, she drops like an anchor...assuming her hands are restrained and she can't surface...Bond must save her. Keep in Mind, one end of chain is on Wei Lin and other is up through a hoist/pulley in the stealth ship. Anyhow, the rocket fires, explodes, and eventually the ship is toast. Bond swims below for that special aqua-lung French kiss....question for you.... Why is the chain still leading to the surface? If the ship / pulley / hoist were destroyed, why didn't the rest of the assembly drop as well, dragging Wei Lin to her grave? If I ever go boating, I'll have to get one of those buoyant life-saver chains!

If you remember, the boat was not totally destroyed, James and Wei Lin used it to 'lie low' at the end of the film... This means that your buoyant chain probably just caught on the boat, not a slip up at all.
