When the character played by Brooke Shields learns hubby Kiefer Sutherland really is a sick serial killer, she runs up the stairs to her bedroom and commits suicide. The slip is the speed with which she does so. She's wearing a skintight outfit, so obviously she's not packing a gun on her person, but the door slam and gunshot are back to back. There is no pause allowing her to get to the gun, turn it on herself, and pull the trigger. Even if the gun were on the dresser right inside the drawer, she would still have to be the fastest gun in the West!
