Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me. - Stop, Pawn!
In the scene where Austin and Ivana are playing chess, Austin's first move is to move his pawn forward THREE spaces. In chess, pawns can move ONE OR TWO spaces forward, and only one space forward in subsequent moves, unless capturing, in which case it must move one space forward and one to the left or right. By the way, I know "Stop, Pawn!" is a stupid name, so don't post any comments about that.

Actually, he moved it that way because he didn't know how to play. it was meant to be seen as a joke. Funny movie and all that.

I'm not sure, but I think that was in there because it was meant to be funny. I am pretty sure that the writer's and director know how to play chess. I think it was for humor. But good eye.

And besides, Austin is OBVIOUSLY not really thinking about the chess game... He just wants to "keep warm" with Ivana.

Yeah, and like rubbing the two bishops like nipples & putting the pieces in your mouth IS part of the game?
