Juggernaut - Boom
In the latter part of the movie Richard Harris is about to disarm a bomb on a cruise ship. A former army buddy who set the bombs tells Harris to cut the blue wire. Harris cuts the red wire and then tells the other bomb disposal team members to cut the red wire. If the bomb had gone off when Harris cut the red wire, the others not knowing Harris changed his mind after being told to cut the blue, they too would have cut the red and all the bombs would have gone off, killing everyone aboard.

This isn't a slip-up, strictly speaking, as it was deliberately written into the plot of the movie to create suspense. I agree with the original poster, if the bomb had gone off when Harris cut the red wire, the others would assume the blue wire was the trigger, and cut the red one, blowing themselves, and the ship up!!! The Harris character deserved to be thrown overboard for treating his men in such a reckless manner.

Al Catraz writes:
No, it's not a slip-up. The captured bomber says "cut the blue wire". Harris does nothing, and hesitates for a while. The captured bomber then repeats himself more firmly "cut the blue wire". That is WHY Harris knows to cut the red wire. The bomber repeated himself because he knew that Harris had not cut the blue wire, because the bomb did not go off. Harris realized why the bomber repeated himself, and cut the red instead.
