When the men in Hawaiian shirts leave the car in the parking garage, they insert the cassette with the instructions for the driver into the cassette player. But after Vincent steals the car, he rummages through the glove compartment out of an apparent desire to listen to music, randomly selects a cassette, which happens to be the one with the instructions on it, and inserts it into the cassette player.
